I just wanted to quickly introduce myself and describe what to except here.

Who am I?

So, I’m Kai. I’ve been working in game development for more than 5 years at this point. I started as a Unity programmer, but quickly fell in love with technical art, so I became (you guessed it) a technical artist!

What to expect here?

I am mostly interested in computer graphics (shaders, graphics APIs, rendering techniques, and so on), and procedural generation (both 3D and textures/materials) in the context of environment art. So naturally, most of my projects and posts will be about that, something like breakdowns or even tutorials.

Tools I use

In my work I primarily use Unreal Engine, Blender, Houdini, Python and Rust (my beloved 🦀).
Though I tried a bunch of other tools, like Unity, Substance, or C++, I rarely use them for personal reasons and preferences.
